JOU is me.
I’m a French ceramist and the founder of JOU Ceramic, my studio where I design and craft handmade objects for everyday life.
After fifteen years working in digital marketing and data in Paris, life took me abroad with my family and gave me the opportunity to rethink my professional path.
I moved to Dubai, where I discovered pottery and began taking ceramics classes. What started as a creative escape quickly became an obvious choice. I fell in love with the quiet rhythm of working with clay — learning, experimenting, and slowly shaping objects by hand.
In 2022, I founded JOU Ceramic in Dubai. Today, I’m based in Houston, Texas, where I continue to create each piece in my studio.
Each piece is imagined, shaped, glazed, and finished by hand in small batches. Simple forms and natural textures come together to create unique pieces designed to bring joy to everyday moments.
Subtle variations in form, color, and texture are part of the process and make every object one of a kind.
These pieces are meant to be used, touched, and lived with — bringing warmth and quiet beauty into daily life.
